The annual Red Mass will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 5:00 P.M. at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, followed by a dinner reception at the Dallas Petroleum Club Sky Lobby. This year’s homilist is Bishop Richard Malone of the Diocese of Buffalo. Bishop Malone is the chairperson of the USCCB Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, and is a leading defender of the Church’s moral teachings and religious liberty.
The Red Mass invokes the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the securing of justice for the coming year. All judiciary, attorneys, law faculty, and everyone interested in the rule of law are encouraged to attend. The price for the dinner reception following the Red Mass is $60 for STMS members and their guests, and $75 for non-members. This registration price is made possible by the generosity of our 2016-17 Sponsors.
The reception will include presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Richard Thompson, President & Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center. The Thomas More Law Center took a leading role in defending religious freedom against the contraception mandate.
