Thirty-Second Sunday of Ordinary Time: Nov 11, 2012

God has blessed us and given us so much, but what do we give back to God in return? The two widows who appear before us in today’s First Reading (1 Kings 17:10-16) and in the Gospel (Mark 12:38-44) were both poor and yet their actions speak volumes about hospitality, generosity and true stewardship. How often is it that it is the poorest among us who teach us the most?

Sacrificial giving entails offering our lives to God through our prayer and concern for others. Aside from weekly Mass and the collection, can you give one-hour each day for God?
