Twentieth Sunday In Ordinary Time – August 19, 2012

The liturgy for this Sunday invites us to see Jesus as the Wisdom of God, who, throughout the long history of Israel and the prophets, has been preparing the household of God, getting them ready for the feast of the world’s redemption. Now, in Jesus, the invitation has gone out. We too are being called to God’s table: “Come, eat of My food and drink of the wine I have mixed!”
