Veteran’s Day: A Time to Remember

November 11 is Veteran’s Day: The “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” was chosen for the armistice that ended the Great War (World War I) in 1918. Most European nations and Canada, observer the day as a “Memorial Day” for those killed in war, an extension of All Souls Day.

Let us remember to pray not only for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf, but also for all those innocent victims of oppression, violence and war. May they all now be resting in the eternal peace of Christ Jeus – Amen.
